At Italian Centre Shop, our Deli Clerks do more than serve food. We help customers discover new flavours, choose the perfect cheese or cured meat, build a beautiful party tray, or find something special to share with family and friends.
What You'll Do
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
- Prepare, portion, wrap, and present meats, cheeses, salads, fruits, and vegetables.
- Help customers explore cheeses, cured meats, olives, and other specialty foods and suggest ideas for pairing, entertaining, or trying something new.
- Assemble party trays and prepare customer orders with care.
- Safely operate food preparation equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe department.
- Work collaboratively to support daily deli operations.
What We are Looking For
- A genuine passion for food and hospitality.
- A friendly, curious, and customer-focused attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
- Food, retail, hospitality, or customer service experience is an asset.
No deli experience? That’s okay! We’re happy to train someone who is eager to learn about our products and share their passion for food with our customers.
