Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Staff/Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring food quality and safety standards are maintained. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly in compliance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Serve food to customers efficiently and courteously when required
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of supplies needed
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure freshness
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
- Experience working in a restaurant or food industry setting is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong understanding of meal preparation and serving practices
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays if required
- Food industry experience, including kitchen experience, is highly desirable
