TankSafe is looking for motivated, dependable Journeyperson Electricians and Registered Apprentice Electricians (all years) to join our growing team in Red Deer, Alberta.
This is a full-time, shop-based position working Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts. Our work is focused on the assembly, installation, and wiring of power generation systems and new building construction projects. We are looking for individuals who take pride in producing quality work, enjoy working in a team environment, and are committed to continuous learning and professional growth.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have:
- Journeyperson Electrician certification or be a registered Electrical Apprentice (any year)
- Experience in industrial, commercial, or power generation electrical work is considered an asset
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Strong understanding of electrical installation practices
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
Key Responsibilities
Journeyperson Electricians
- Lead electrical installations for power generation equipment and new building construction projects
- Read and interpret engineered drawings and electrical schematics
- Install conduit, cable tray, supports, and electrical equipment
- Pull, terminate, and test power and control wiring
- Troubleshoot electrical systems as required
- Ensure all work meets applicable electrical codes and project specifications
- Assist with project planning, material requirements, and quality documentation
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work area
Apprentice Electricians
- Install conduit, cable tray, and support systems
- Pull, route, and terminate electrical wiring under supervision
- Assist with the assembly and wiring of power generation equipment
- Read and interpret electrical drawings while developing technical skills
- Prepare materials and maintain clean, organized work areas
