As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a skilled Small Engine / Heavy Equipment Technician to join our service team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a supportive, knowledgeable, and team-oriented environment.
Our shop is equipped with modern lifts, specialty tools, and manufacturer support, allowing our technicians to focus on what they do best—diagnosing and repairing equipment efficiently and professionally.
What You’ll Work On
Our technicians service a wide variety of equipment used in landscaping, construction, and snow & ice management, including:
- Lawnmowers and commercial turf equipment
- Installation and repairs of Snowplows and salt/sand spreaders
- Chainsaws and cut-off saws
- Trimmers, blowers, and handheld power equipment
- Generators and water pumps
- Construction and landscaping machinery
- Equipment powered by 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of outdoor power and construction equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and detailed equipment inspections
- Utilize company-provided lifts, specialty tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Maintain an organized, efficient workspace within the shop
- Attend manufacturer training and service schools to stay current with industry technology
- Work closely with fellow technicians and service advisors to deliver excellent customer service
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working with small engines or related equipment
- Strong knowledge of 2-cycle and 4-cycle engine diagnostics and repair
- Experience with commercial landscaping equipment, construction equipment, snowplows, or spreaders is highly valued
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and engine issues efficiently
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (for company vehicle use)
- Must own and maintain a complete set of personal technician tools
