Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Contract Delivery Driver (Part-Time) in to join our team. This role involves safely transporting goods to various destinations while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, commercial driving, and possess strong communication skills. This position offers flexibility and an opportunity to be part of a dynamic logistics team.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations within the area.
- Load and unload items using equipment such as forklifts or manual handling methods, ensuring proper heavy lifting techniques.
- Ensure timely deliveries while maintaining accurate documentation of shipments.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and address any questions or concerns professionally.
- Assist with warehouse tasks including moving inventory, organizing stock, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Use warehouse equipment like forklifts when necessary, following safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in warehouse operations, including moving inventory and forklift operation is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks regularly throughout the shift.
- Prior experience in commercial driving or delivery services is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety standards and traffic laws.
Pay: $23.00 per hour
