Site Supervisor / Handyman
We are looking for a Site Supervisor / Handyman to join our team for Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising day-to-day site activities while assisting with general handyman and maintenance work as required. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project drawings and specifications.
The ideal candidate has experience in ICI construction, is organized, reliable, and able to coordinate trades while also performing general repairs, carpentry, drywall, painting, and other maintenance tasks. A strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship is essential
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily site activities, including subcontractors and site crews.
- Coordinate trades, materials, equipment, and site logistics.
- Assist in delivering ICI construction and restoration projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Monitor project progress and report any issues or delays to the Project Manager.
- Ensure work meets project drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Maintain a safe job site and ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and maintain daily site reports and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with the Project Manager, subcontractors, clients, and consultants.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, permits, and company policies.
- Perform general handyman and maintenance tasks as required to support project completion.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2 + years of construction experience with exposure to ground-up ICI projects
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or Superintendent (asset)
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, and site coordination
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong understanding of OH&S regulations and COR-compliant environments
- Ability to manage multiple trades and fast-paced site conditions
- Hands-on construction background with strong decision-making ability
- Diploma or post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (asset)
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and reliable transportation required
