Part-Time Fishing & Outdoor Retail Sales Associate

Location: Coquitlam, BC

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and outgoing Part-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our fishing and outdoor store.

We are especially interested in candidates who are experienced anglers and have strong knowledge of fishing tackle and local fishing techniques.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly and professional customer service
Help customers choose suitable fishing and outdoor products
Provide advice on fishing techniques, tackle, rods, reels, lines, lures, hooks, and other fishing equipment
Operate the POS system and handle customer transactions
Restock shelves and organize merchandise
Keep the store clean, organized, and presentable
Answer customer questions in person and by phone
Assist customers with product recommendations based on their fishing needs and experience

Requirements

Strong English communication skills
Friendly, outgoing, reliable, and responsible
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Passion for fishing and outdoor activities
Customer service or retail experience is an asset
Outdoor, sporting goods, or fishing tackle retail experience is an asset
Experienced anglers with strong knowledge of fishing and fishing tackle will be given preference
Knowledge of local BC fishing techniques, species, and fishing conditions is a strong asset
Good knowledge of fishing rods, reels, lines, lures, hooks, terminal tackle, and other fishing equipment is strongly preferred
