Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a Sorter/Production person to join our team. This person will handle, count, sort and fold incoming linen.
Duties:
- MUST be able to work Monday - Friday starting at 8:30am (not negotiable)
- Feed linens through ironer and fold linen
- Folding of towels, blankets, kitchen apparel and more
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work area
- Meet efficiency and safety standards for the position.
- Follow instructions as directed by supervision
Skills:
- Recognize colors and sizes, count accurately
- Physical Demands consist of standing, walking, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, grasping, and stooping.
- Physical Requirements consist of being able to meet the physical demands for the entire shift.
- Must be able to write and read English
Typical Environmental Conditions:
- Production areas of a typical industrial laundry facility, which includes variations in temperature, odors, humidity, lint and dust. Soiled linens come from a variety of customers such as restaurants, hotels, medical facilities and shops.
