We currently have an opportunity for a construction Site Superintendent. Our office is located in St. Albert, but we build across the Greater Edmonton Region.
Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Site Super is responsible for maintaining and improving a wide range of construction initiatives and tasks. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about new home construction, has a team-player personality with innovative ideas, and is committed to working hard.
Key Accountabilities:
- Coordination and scheduling of subcontractors and suppliers via effective phone or email communication.
- Maintaining project schedules, which are to be updated daily and kept current.
- Relaying any trade or site issues to the Construction Manager.
- Ensuring the quality of the completed work meets San Rufo Homes standards and all building and safety code requirements.
- Resolving site issues by addressing to the main stakeholders: Construction Manager, Drafting or Estimating departments, Engineer or Municipality.
- Managing the daily tasks of the site staff in the area and ensuring the completion and quality workmanship of the tasks.
- Ensuring San Rufo’s Safety Program & OH&S Legislation is adhered to by all staff by enforcing proper P.P.E. usage and completion of Hazard Assessments.
- Completing the appropriate checklists, reports, and logbooks as required by San Rufo’s Safety program.
- Building homes accurately to plans & specifications by reading and understanding plans, specifications, and all addendum.
- Continual cross checking the homes under construction to plans, specs, & color charts.
- Performing client Pre-Occupancy inspections.
- Meeting with clients prior to possession to thoroughly inspect home and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
- Performing post possession repairs and all seasonal tasks by coordinating the completion of any outstanding deficiencies in the first 30 days following possession ensuring customer satisfaction.
Education & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- At least 3 years Site Superintendent experience.
- Knowledge of the Alberta Standard Building Codes.
- Basic MS Office knowledge.
- Reliable vehicle (truck) and a clean driver’s abstract.
