Duties
- Assist with site cleanup, debris removal, and organizing materials to maintain a safe and tidy work environment
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment efficiently and safely
- Support skilled tradespeople by handing tools, preparing work areas, and following instructions precisely
- Operate basic hand tools and machinery as trained, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Help with setting up scaffolding, barricades, and safety signage to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Conduct routine inspections of work areas to identify hazards or issues requiring attention
- Follow all safety procedures diligently and report any incidents or unsafe conditions immediately
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly
- Reliable work ethic with punctuality and a positive attitude
- Prior experience in construction or manual labour is a plus but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of basic safety practices on construction sites is advantageous
