The Manager, Dentistry Education is accountable for providing administrative leadership to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the academic programs in Schulich Dentistry. Reporting to the Director, Dentistry Operations, the Manager will work in conjunction with the Associate Director, Education, the Associate Director, Clinics, and the Assistant Director, Continuing Dental Education, to provide leadership in the areas of academic and administrative support for all programs within Schulich Dentistry, ensuring success of the Doctor of Dental Surgery, Internationally Educated Dentists, Graduate Orthodontics, General Practice and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency programs as well as Continuing Dental Education (CDE). The Manager ensures clear and current information is available and efficient processes are in place for academic leaders and staff within the programs, as well as for current and prospective students. The role will participate in the development and implementation of academic plans, policies, and procedures related to Schulich Dentistry academic programs, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure adherence with University policies and procedures and accreditation standards. The Manager ensures learner support in areas of progression, appeals, and reporting, and manages external and internal relations with the program, school and partners. The Manager is accountable for coaching and training staff, and for providing comprehensive consultation on a variety of processes to ensure the University community is served effectively.
