Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and industrial equipment. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to work on various types of heavy equipment. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will ensure all equipment operates efficiently and safely, supporting ongoing operations across multiple industries.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic, issues using diagnostic tools
- Conduct welding, assembly, and replacement of parts using hand tools and power tools
- Operate heavy machinery for testing and troubleshooting purposes
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment during maintenance activities
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service requests
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role within a dealership or industrial setting
- Hands-on experience with excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and power tools
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems
- Skilled in welding, assembly, electrical repairs, and general maintenance tasks
- Capable of heavy lifting and operating heavy equipment safely
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to operate heavy machinery if required
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate repair needs and solutions to clients
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.84-$46.41 per hour
