Job Description
Background Established in 2016, Crossmount Cider Company is Saskatchewan's first cidery and we pride ourselves on being a leader in the industry. In a beautiful location just 5 min. south of Saskatoon, is our tasting room where guests can come and sample our ciders and take-part in a unique Crossmount experience.
Duties
o Ensure the presentation of the Tasting room is up to standard
o Keeping a presentable bar area
o Knowledge of cider flavour profiles
o Maintenance of tasting room (tap system), regular cleaning
o Upselling merchandise
o Upselling premium cider
o Pour flights and drinks and serve
o Serve food to tables
o Open and closing procedures are followed
o Switch kegs
o Pay at table option
o Check tables regularly
o Taking reservations
o Ability to work off-site tasting events
o Count Inventory of cider, clothing, food and misc.
Physical and Mental Requirements
– Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, grasp, handle or feel, push, pull, reach, crouch, kneel, crawl or bend and perform repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists.
- Ability to occasionally exert up to 50 pounds of force, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and be able to move kegs which weigh close to 140 pounds. Keg dolly is available for larger kegs.
Education, Experience and Qualifications
- High School Degree required.
- Serve it Right required.
- Must have own vehicle, valid driver’s license.
- Ability to potentially work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Prior Bar & Restaurant experience is an asset
- Prior serving/bartending experience is an asset
Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Seasonal
Pay: From $15.35 per hour
