Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, utilizing various skills including commercial driving and heavy equipment operation.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Ensure accurate delivery of freight, verifying orders and documentation
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle and delivery area
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and report any maintenance issues
- Assist with inventory management and proper handling of freight
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations during deliveries
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during drop-offs
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving and freight delivery preferred
- Knowledge of forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is a plus
- Basic automotive repair skills are advantageous for vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks as required
- Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
