Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated, hands-on individual to join our Vegreville team as a Water Treatment Technician, with the opportunity to grow into a leadership role.
The successful candidate will learn the technical and operational side of our business, including installation, service, troubleshooting and maintenance of our water treatment systems.
We are looking for someone who can grow with the position, take on increasing responsibility and eventually help lead our Vegreville operations. Previous management or leadership experience is an asset, along with initiative, accountability and strong decision-making skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn the installation, operation and servicing of Walker’s Water Systems equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system and equipment issues overtime
- Perform routine maintenance, service and installation work
- Communicate professionally with customers
- Follow company procedures and safety standards
- Work independently and as part of the Vegreville team
- Develop a strong understanding of day-to-day operations
- Take increasing responsibility for inventory, organization and coordination
- Support and eventually help oversee technicians and daily operations
- Demonstrate leadership, accountability and strong decision-making
Qualifications:
- Experience in water treatment, plumbing, mechanical, or technical service preferred
- Comfortable learning new equipment, systems and technical processes
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to take on increasing responsibility as knowledge and experience develop
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift equipment and work in field environments
