We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Director with minimum 2 years experience within Alberta. The ideal candidate will assist the Director in overseeing daily operations, and work alongside staff and children on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Director to develop and execute strategic plans - Ability to demonstrate strong leadership and adapt to employees varying personalities in a positive and supportive manor. Commitment to ensure timely completion of key roles.
- Familiar at following Alberta's licensing and health regulations. and willing to coach staff to ensure best practice is met.
- Be observant and take initiative on the spot where needed.
- Have a friendly demeanour towards parents and staff on a consistent basis.
- Willing to fill in on the floor, or additional roles when required.
- Identify opportunities for development and growth with children and staff.
- Delegate roles and responsibilities to staff in a polite and fair manor.
Qualifications
- Childcare level 2 (must be working towards level 3) , level 3 preferred
- Proven experience in a childcare setting is a must.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on team collaboration and motivation.
-Prioritize attending staff functions/meetings is a requirement for an assistant director role.
