The Opportunity
We are looking for an organized, compassionate, and detail-oriented Team Leader, Quality & Care to join our team on a part-time, 6-month contract basis. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Quality and Care, you will play a central role coordinating the day-to-day delivery of supportive housing services, leading scheduling and day-to-day supervision of our Personal Support Worker (PSW) team, and ensuring accurate, timely documentation and reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with frontline leadership experience who wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors while working in a collaborative, mission-driven team.
What You'll Do
- Provide emotional and practical support to residents, building trust and understanding their evolving needs
- Assess resident needs, develop and monitor personalized care plans, and coordinate connections to community resources
- Audit daily PSW documentation and ensure accurate, up-to-date resident records in PointClickCare (PCC)
- Lead scheduling, coverage, and day-to-day supervision of the PSW team, including coaching, onboarding, and performance follow-up
- Approve timesheets and time-off requests for PSW staff, and lead daily shift exchange
- Conduct RAI-CHA health assessments and support residents through identified health triggers
- Coordinate onsite external supports and services, such as footcare, hearing, immunization, and physician visits
- Take minutes for team meetings, prepare reports, and support monthly, quarterly, and annual statistical and funder reporting
- Respond to emergencies and crisis situations calmly and effectively, prioritizing resident safety and well-being
- Liaise with residents' families, healthcare providers, hospitals, and community partners
What We're Looking For
- Post-secondary education or diploma in Social Work, Gerontology, Nursing, or a related field
- Minimum of two years of experience in supportive housing, a senior living environment, or a related non-profit role, including experience leading, scheduling, or directing frontline staff
- Experience with healthcare assessment tools such as RAI-CHA is an asset
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills, with sound analytical judgment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and resident management software (e.g., PointClickCare)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a resident-centred, compassionate approach
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, emergency response, and crisis intervention techniques
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and provide occasional evening, weekend, and on-call support
