Tackpoint is a precision bearing manufacturer designing and producing high-performance products for aerospace, space, defense, and oil & gas applications. Our parts operate in some of the most demanding environments in the world, where precision and reliability are critical. These applications include record-setting drilling motors, deep-sea exploration suits, search and rescue camera gimbals, the Canadarm2, and the Canadarm3.
We run state of the art CNC equipment with advanced process controls, enabling consistent, high-tolerance production. Our shop houses the most accurate Coordinate Measuring Machine in Canada, a top of the line Super Precision lathe, an ultra-high speed 5-axis mill, automated finishing, rotary grinding and more. As we expand, we are hiring skilled operators who want to work on challenging, high-value components using premium equipment.

What You’ll Work On
- Precision bearing components for aerospace, space, and defense systems, and oil & gas
- Tight-tolerance parts with repeatable, controlled processes
- Advanced CNC lathes (Fanuc and Okuma controls, Nakamura and Okuma equipment)
What You’ll Do
- Operate CNC lathes in a high-precision production environment
- Perform setups, tool offsets, and adjustments (based on experience)
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Maintain strict quality and tolerance requirements
- Follow structured, well-defined machining processes

Requirements
- CNC machine operation experience (lathe experience preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers)
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable and able to work independently
