Overview
Working independently, the Functional Fitness program leader will design and deliver a weekly group fitness program to individuals aged 55+. Functional Fitness classes are described as full-body group work outs designed to increase mobility, improve balance, strengthen muscles and enhance endurance. Some seated aspects are incorporated into the class, but the majority is from a standing position.
Instructors are required to hold a certification in group exercise from a nationally recognized institution, and to provide liability insurance and a clear Police Information Check with vulnerable sector screening. Experience and education in leading group exercise classes for older adults is an asset.
Pay: $35.00 per hour
