Medical Radiation Technologist or Combined Lab and X-ray Technologist (Full-time/Part-Time and Casual positions available)

We are currently accepting applications for a part-time/casual Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) or Combined Lab and X-ray Technologist (CLXT) who are excited to work in this team-based environment and go above and beyond for our patients.
Reporting to the Clinic Manager, the MRT/CLXT is responsible for delivering exceptional patient care to all patients in a respectful, compassionate and welcoming environment. The MRT/CLXT will have the primary responsibility of operating fluoroscopy equipment for physicians performing interventional MSK pain procedures and facilitating in delivering an optimal patient experience before and afterwards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Obtain patient history, educate patients on exam procedures and answers questions
- Prepare rooms for procedures, including drawing medications (certified training to be provided)
- Operate radiographic equipment including mobile C-arm and processing equipment
- Assist physician with specialized procedures
- Checks standard equipment function, calibration, and ensure equipment is disinfected as required
- Participates and assists in maintaining the quality assurance and quality control programs
- Assess current and future workloads
- Maintain and respect patient confidentiality at all times
- Commitment to outstanding patient care
- Professionalism, empathy and can act as a team player in a collaborative work environment
- Compliance with all Vivo Cura policies, procedures and protocols
- Various other duties as required
Key Competencies
- Superior radiographic technological skills
- Familiarity with MSK anatomy and physiology; preference given to those with experience in MSK pain management
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment
- Competency with Windows-based computer programs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (auditory, written and verbal)
- Superior time management and multitasking skills with the ability to keep up with a demanding daily workload
- Technically inclined and easily adaptable to operating new equipment and associated software
Education and Experience
- Completion of Diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) or Combined Lab and X-ray Technologist (CLXT) program
- Eligible for or active member in good standing with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) or Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologists (ACCLXT)

Pay: $35.00-$60.00 per hour
