Responsibilities:
As an Intermediate Applications Engineer / Technologist, you will play a key role in enhancing our product offerings, supporting client needs, and ensuring the efficient application of our products in customer processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- P&ID Review and Generation: Generate and review package P&IDs both during proposal and project manufacturing stage.
- Vessel and Package Estimation: Reviewing project requirements to generate estimates for pressure vessels and fully packaged solutions. Determining package overall footprint by generating package layout sketches for proposal preparation.
- Technical Support: Provide expert technical support and guidance to customers and internal teams, ensuring optimal use of our products in various applications.
- Application Development: Analyze customer requirements, select, and size the appropriate equipment to meet their specific needs.
- Create Technical Proposals: Present JCI's offering in a clear and effective technical proposal.
- Problem-Solving: Work closely with customers to resolve filtration and separation challenges.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and enhancement of our product line based on feedback from customers and market trends.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Applications, Sales, Project Management, and Operations, to deliver high-quality solutions and contribute to the overall success of the company.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of professional experience in a vessel / piping facility
- A member of APEGA/ASET in good standing, registered as an E.I.T., P.Eng, P.Tech., or C.E.T. designation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Previous experience with Applications and technical support considered an asset.
- Previous experience in filtration and separation technologies would be considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams.
- Understanding of different types of manual valves and instrumentation that would be typically used in industry, with the ability to specify and select products based on project requirements.
- Working knowledge of the ASME Section VIII Div. 1 Pressure Vessel and ASME B31.3 Piping Codes.
- Background in CSA Z661 Piping code would be considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD for generation of P&ID, and preliminary vessel and package layout sketches.
- Experience in Inventor, Plant3D or CADWorx would be considered an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple demanding projects.
- Willingness to meet with clients, potentially perform other sales functions.
Starting salary will depend on qualifications and experience level of successful candidate.

Pay: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
