Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Front Store Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong sense of customer service, and experience in retail sales within a grocery or pharmacy environment. As a Front Store Cashier, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth checkout processes, assisting customers with product inquiries, and maintaining an organized sales floor to enhance the shopping experience.
Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and swiftly.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct product demos and upselling activities to promote additional items and increase sales.
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform basic math calculations with precision.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and coordinating restocking efforts.
- Demonstrate phone etiquette when communicating with customers or suppliers to uphold professional standards.
Experience
Candidates should have prior experience in retail sales, preferably within a grocery store or pharmacy setting. Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and merchandising practices is essential. Strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and a focus on excellent customer service are critical for success in this role.
Pay: $18.25-$19.00 per hour
