Waterloo Foot Clinic is one of Canada's largest Chiropody clinics, and our team works together to provide the highest level of care for all patients. Chiropodists, or Foot Specialists, are medical professionals who focus primarily on the foot and ankle. We assess a number of issues not limited to: ingrown toenails, fungal issues, sports injury and rehabilitation, orthotics, warts, and much more.
A successful candidate will be seeking a fulfilling full-time permanent position.
Work days are Monday-Friday
Schedule (subject to change):
Mondays 9:30 am - 4:00 pm
Tuesdays 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Wednesdays 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Thursdays 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm OR 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Fridays 9:30 am - 2:00 pm
Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning and setting up the treatment rooms, sterilization of instruments, and maintaining Podiatric equipment
- Greeting and signing in patients when they enter the clinic.
- Facilitating clinic work flow by bringing patients to rooms and communicating with practitioners and other staff members.
- Performing therapeutic treatments (shockwave, ultrasound, and laser) as delegated by the Chiropodist
- Assisting with the proper setup of rooms for routine and surgical procedures.
- May assist with answering the phones and emails, confirming next-day appointments.
- May assist with maintaining and updating patient records, scanning documents into patient files.
- May assist with ordering supplies and receiving incoming shipments.
- May assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining practitioner schedules.
- May assist with managing billing to patients and their insurance companies.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work well within a team
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in computer and technology use including Microsoft Office, emails, scanners, printers, etc.
Experience and/or education in a medical office would be preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
