Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Horse Trainer to join our team on a part-time basis, working three days a week. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about equine training and capable of handling various aspects of horse care and training. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic farm environment, contributing to the development and well-being of our horses while honing your skills in horse training and farm machinery operation.
Responsibilities
- Train horses according to established methods, focusing on behavioral development and riding skills
- Assist with daily care routines, including feeding, grooming, and health assessments
- Operate farm machinery and equipment safely to support training activities and farm maintenance
- Perform heavy lifting tasks related to horse equipment, feed bags, or other supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe training environment, ensuring all areas are organized and hazard-free
- Monitor horse progress and document training sessions for ongoing development plans
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the well-being of all horses under care
Requirements
- Prior experience in horse training or equine management is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with farm equipment operation and maintenance
- Strong understanding of horse behavior and training techniques
- Physical stamina for long hours of standing, walking, and lifting in an outdoor environment
- Ability to work three days per week with flexibility for schedule adjustments as needed

Pay: $17.20-$22.00 per hour
