The Board of Chinook’s Edge School Division is seeking participation of two (2) members of the general public to sit for a two year term on the Board’s Audit Committee. The successful candidate will be independent of the Division, have no relationship to the audit firm and hold an accounting designation.
It is anticipated that the Audit Committee will meet a minimum of once per year. The applicant will assist the Board of Trustees and the Superintendent of Schools in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities for the financial reporting process, the system of internal control over financial reporting, the audit process and monitoring the Division’s compliance with the laws and regulations pertaining to its financial operations.
This position will receive an honorarium of $275.00 per meeting, plus travel expenses.
