Overview
We are seeking a responsible and caring Dog Walker/Sitter to provide exceptional pet care services to our clients’ beloved dogs. This role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work outdoors while ensuring pets receive the love, attention, and exercise they need. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for animals and excellent customer service skills to build trust with pet owners.
Duties
- Walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments in accordance with client instructions
- Provide daily exercise, playtime, and companionship for pets during walks or sitting periods
- Feed and administer medication as directed by pet owners
- Monitor pets’ behavior and health, reporting any concerns to owners promptly
- Maintain a clean and safe environment during visits
- Follow specific care routines outlined by pet owners to ensure consistency and comfort
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet activities and any issues that arise
Requirements
- Prior experience with dogs or pet care is preferred but not mandatory; a genuine love for animals is essential
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with pet owners and address their concerns
- Reliable transportation to travel between client locations
- Ability to handle pets of all sizes and temperaments safely and confidently
- Excellent communication skills for clear updates and instructions from clients
- Responsible, punctual, and trustworthy with a strong work ethic, high energy
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed
- Willingness to house/pet sit for clients
- Must have clean criminel check & reliable transportation
- Terroritory to cover is St. Paul, Shediac and Moncton
