One of our clients, a growing metal fabrication company in Pickering, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in metal fabrication environments, inventory management, and forklift operation.
Available Shifts
- Morning Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Afternoon Shift: Monday to Thursday, 3:30 PM – 1:30 AM
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming materials and shipments
- Prepare outgoing orders and coordinate shipping activities
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and records
- Assist with material handling within the fabrication shop
- Use QuickBooks and computer systems for inventory and shipping documentation
- Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to ensure workflow efficiency
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications
- Valid forklift license required
- Experience in shipping/receiving within a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment
- Sheet metal fabrication experience preferred
- Strong inventory counting and organizational skills
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with QuickBooks
- Ability to lift materials and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
