Job Summary:
A well-established foam manufacturing company in North York is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join its finance team. This role requires 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable, with the ability to handle high-volume invoice processing in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify a high volume of invoices (matching, batching, coding, and data entry)
- Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies
- Prepare and process electronic payments, including EFTs, wire transfers, and cheques
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely invoice processing
- Work closely with internal teams to obtain approvals and proper expense coding
- Assist with month-end close, accruals, and financial reporting related to accounts payable
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment status, inquiries, and issue resolution
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting best practices
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable
- Strong knowledge of invoice processing, reconciliations, and payment procedures
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for vendor and internal interactions
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
