Duties
- Install roofing materials such as shingles, tiles, and metal sheets according to specifications.
- Repair and replace damaged roofing systems to ensure structural integrity and prevent leaks.
- Perform inspections of roofs to identify issues and recommend solutions.
- Utilize hand tools and heavy lifting equipment safely and effectively during roofing projects.
- Apply caulking and sealants as necessary to ensure waterproofing.
- Read blueprints and building plans to determine the best installation methods.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters, to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Valid Journeyman Roofing certification.
- Minimum 3 years of professional roofing experience.
- Strong knowledge of commercial and residential roofing systems.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
