Polyurethane Concrete Lifting Foreman Job Overview
Donnelly Developments is seeking an experienced Polyurethane Concrete Lifting Foreman to lead our concrete lifting and stabilization crew. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with polyurethane concrete lifting equipment and applications, including operating and maintaining a Graco Reactor E-30 proportioner and working with PX7 and GX7 injection guns.
This is a hands-on leadership position. The Foreman will be responsible for operating equipment, directing the crew, communicating with customers, maintaining jobsite safety, and ensuring every project is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working outdoors, operating a work truck and trailer, troubleshooting equipment, and working in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and oversee polyurethane concrete lifting equipment, including Graco Reactor E-30 systems
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot PX7 and GX7 injection guns
- Perform polyurethane foam lifting, leveling, void filling, and stabilization of concrete
- Determine injection locations and foam quantities based on site conditions and the required lift
- Monitor concrete movement and control the lift to achieve the desired elevation without damaging surrounding structures
- Properly set up, operate, clean, and maintain the proportioner, hoses, guns, pumps, and related equipment
- Troubleshoot equipment, injection issues, temperature-related problems, pressure issues, and material flow
- Lead and supervise labourers and concrete lifting technicians on site
- Plan daily jobsite setup, equipment placement, injection patterns, and workflow
- Conduct pre-job inspections and ensure all equipment and materials are ready before leaving the shop
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, and project managers
- Complete job documentation, measurements, photos, material usage, and production reports
- Ensure jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and according to company standards
- Identify potential issues with drainage, soil conditions, existing concrete, and surrounding structures
- Maintain clean and organized trucks, trailers, equipment, and jobsites
- Follow all company safety procedures and applicable Alberta Occupational Health and Safety requirements
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment and materials
- Drive company trucks and trailers to and from job sites
- Perform other duties related to concrete lifting and company operations as required
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Previous hands-on experience with polyurethane concrete lifting is required
- Experience operating a Graco Reactor E-30 or comparable polyurethane proportioning system
- Strong working knowledge of PX7 and GX7 injection guns
- Experience with polyurethane foam injection, concrete lifting, leveling, stabilization, and void filling
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on polyurethane equipment
- Strong understanding of injection pressures, material ratios, temperature considerations, and proper equipment operation
- Previous experience leading or supervising a construction crew
- Strong understanding of construction practices and concrete work
- Ability to read job measurements and determine appropriate injection locations and lifting procedures
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract
- Ability and confidence to drive a truck and trailer
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physically capable of performing construction-related work
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Assets
- Experience with Graco E-Series reactors
- Experience with additional polyurethane injection equipment and accessories
- Concrete construction, mudjacking, foundation repair, or excavation experience
- Experience operating skid steers, loaders, or other construction equipment
- First Aid, CSTS, WHMIS, Fall Protection, or other construction safety certifications
- Experience training and mentoring junior technicians
