As fast-food restaurant supervisor manages daily shift operations, oversees food preparation, and leads crew members. They ensure speedy service, enforce strict health and safety standards, maintain inventory, and resolve customer complaints to guarantee a seamless dining experience in a high-volume environment. Key Responsibilities
- Shift Management: Organize daily shifts, coordinate staff tasks, and ensure smooth transitions between team members to maintain rapid order fulfillment.
- Customer Service: Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally. Ensure the crew delivers friendly, efficient service.
- Quality & Compliance: Monitor food preparation and storage to guarantee compliance with health codes, sanitation requirements, and company brand standards.
- Inventory & Ordering: Track supply levels, verify deliveries, and order ingredients or packaging to prevent shortages during peak hours.
- Staff Training & Scheduling: Create employee schedules, assign duties, and train new hires on equipment operation, food safety, and customer handling.
- Cash Handling & Reporting: Supervise the operation of Point of Sale (POS) systems, oversee cash drawers, and assist management with daily sales reports.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Prior experience in quick-service or fast-food operations, ideally with demonstrated team-leadership or shift-running capabilities.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, multi-task under pressure, and stand for extended periods.
- Certifications: Valid local food safety certifications required (e.g., Serv Safe or local regional health board equivalents).
