Stonebrook Dental currently has a full-time career opportunity for the right candidate. We are looking for caring, passionate, punctual, and attention to detail dental assistant. Our Clinical team is part of our treatment planning and delivery. Must be comfortable with the IPAC policy, four handed dentistry. Knowledge with administrative duties is a bonus, but we are willing to train.
Our operational hours are:
Monday 9-7pm,
Tuesday 9-7pm,
Wednesday 9am to 4pm,
Thursday 9am to 7pm,
Friday 9am to 4pm
1 Saturday per month
- Must be available to cover two evenings per week
- Saturdays are set for the year - must be available to cover).
Expect wage will be in line with level of experience. We welcome New Certified Gradates.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including exams, restorations, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Take and develop digital radiographs using CAD technology
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as ORYX is essential
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and communicate effectively with patients as a dental receptionist when needed
- Support pediatric patients with gentle care and understanding of their specific needs
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment to ensure safety and efficiency
Requirements
- Certified Dental Assistant credential required
- Proven experience in dental assisting, with knowledge of medical terminology and dental procedures
- Familiarity with dental software including Epic, Dentrix, and CAD systems
- Experience working in orthodontics and pediatrics is a plus
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of infection control standards and sterilization procedures
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist is advantageous but not mandatory
