Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Roll Off Driver to operate large commercial vehicles responsible for the collection and transportation of waste and recyclable materials. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience with heavy equipment, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. This role is essential in maintaining smooth waste management operations and ensuring timely service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate roll-off trucks and other commercial vehicles to pick up and deliver containers at various locations.
- Load, unload, and secure waste or recyclable materials using appropriate equipment.
- Perform routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safety standards are met.
- Assist with forklift operation when necessary for loading or unloading materials.
- Conduct minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to maintain vehicle functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations during operations to ensure safety for yourself and others.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding schedules or issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with roll-off trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles.
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus for troubleshooting vehicle issues on-site.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience operating heavy machinery or industrial equipment is desirable.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to safety standards and operational procedures. Pay: $28.00 per hour
