Family & Business Assistant (Part-Time)
Canter Coffee is looking for a reliable, organized, and proactive Family & Business Assistant to support both our growing business and day-to-day operations.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in helping things run smoothly behind the scenes. No two days will look exactly the same.
Location: Sunderland, ON and surrounding area
Hours: Approximately 10–20 hours per week (flexible)
Compensation: Competitive hourly wage based on experience
What You’ll Be Doing
This role combines light household support, childcare assistance, errands, and business-related tasks.
Examples include:
- Assisting with childcare while a parent is working nearby
- Running errands and picking up supplies
- Delivering items between Sunderland and Cannington
- Putting away groceries
- Folding laundry and assisting with light household organization
- Vacuuming and tidying common areas
- Organizing inventory and storage spaces
- Assisting with simple café preparation tasks
- Packaging orders and preparing supplies
- Helping with basic accounting and bookkeeping tasks such as organizing receipts, tracking expenses, and assisting with simple data entry
- Supporting special projects and events as needed

- Comfortable handling a variety of tasks
- Has a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Childcare experience
- Experience as a nanny, educational assistant, personal assistant, administrator, or office coordinator
- Customer service experience
- Small business experience
- Familiarity with basic bookkeeping or accounting software
