Overview
As a HVAC Foreman at Paris Mechanical, you are a master of your craft, responsible for the expert installation, troubleshooting, and execution of HVAC systems. Actions and Responsibilities
Master Installation and Execution
- Lay out and cut pathways for installations.
- Install various forms of ductwork, including rectangular S and D, Snaplock, and Spiral.
- Pull refrigeration line sets at the rough in stage.
- Install fans, HRVs, AHUs, and other HVAC equipment.
- Communicate with Foreman and Project Manager
- Operate power tools safely and correctly, including hole hog, drill, Sawzall, grinder, and hammer drill.
- Execute complex installations and designs in compliance with mechanical codes and project specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently, ensuring all systems function to the highest standard.
- Take ownership of job site organization, including proper tool use, maintenance, and material management.
Mentorship and Leadership
- Act as a mentor to Apprentices, providing hands on training, guidance, and constructive feedback.
- Lead by example, promoting a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Assign tasks to Apprentices and ensure their work meets company and industry standards.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate directly with Journeymen, Project Managers, and other trades to ensure tasks align with project schedules and milestones.
- Adapt workflows and make informed decisions to overcome challenges on the job, maintaining project efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with Journeymen and Project Managers, documenting progress and ensuring alignment on scope and expectations.
Safety and Quality Control
- Enforce safety protocols on the job, addressing hazards proactively and maintaining compliance with regulations.
- Conduct quality checks to uphold Paris Mechanical’s reputation for excellence.
- Ensure all installations meet or exceed industry standards, minimizing rework and maximizing efficiency.
Authority
Decision Making
- Exercise decision making authority for day-to-day operations on the job, particularly when acting as the most senior team member.
- Develop solutions for technical challenges in real time, consulting Project Managers as needed.
Procurement
- Approve and procure tools or supplies under $500 to maintain workflow and meet immediate project needs.
- Monitor and track expenses for minor materials and ensure timely reporting to supervisors.
Team Leadership
- Guide Apprentices through hands on mentorship, delegating tasks based on skill level and project requirements.
- Ensure team productivity by aligning tasks with project objectives and promoting accountability.
Accountability

- Deliver high quality work that meets or exceeds project timelines and budgets.
- Take responsibility for ensuring all installations comply with blueprints, codes, and client expectations.

- Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and codes to maintain expertise and support company innovation.
Requirements and Experience
- Red Seal certification required in HVAC or Sheet Metal.
- Experience with service and residential HVAC.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to HVAC and ductwork systems.
- Experience reading schematics and mechanical layouts is highly desirable.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with clients and team members.
- Valid driver’s license, as the role involves working across job sites in the region.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: CA$48.00 to CA$56.00 per hour, based on experience.
- Job type: Full time, permanent.
