Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Barista to join our team at Nexus. In our space, you are more than just a coffee maker you are the face of our brand. You will balance technical precision in espresso extraction with excellent customer service, ensuring every cup meets our high standards and every guest feels welcome.
What You Will Do
- Make Great Coffee: Prepare specialty espresso drinks, teas, and speacialty drinks to our exact quality standards.
- Handle the Rush: Work quickly and efficiently during high-volume periods without letting drink quality drop.
- Keep It Clean: Clean as you go. You are expected to keep the workspace, counters, and customer areas completely spotless.
- Customer Service: Be friendly, professional, and welcoming to all our locals and summer visitors.
What We Expect From You
- Experience: At least 6 months in fast-paced food service environment.
- Strong Work Ethic: You do not wait to be told what to do. If it is quiet, you are cleaning, restocking, and preparing for the next rush.
- Reliability: You show up on time and honor your schedule commitments.
- Cash Handling: You are comfortable handling cash accurately and using our POS system.
- Team Player: You follow directions from your shift leaders and work smoothly with the rest of the staff.
