Independent Contractor – AM/PM Operations Lead (Dispatch Services)
Overview
FleetOptics is seeking an Independent Contractor to provide dispatch coordination services in support of our last-mile delivery operations. This role serves as the primary operational contact for a group of independent Delivery Vendors, helping coordinate daily dispatch activities and support on-time service delivery.
Scope of Services
The contractor will provide services including:
- Coordinate daily dispatch activities for independent Delivery Vendors.
- Support Delivery Vendors by resolving operational issues and maintaining service levels.
- Promote safe operating practices and adherence to operational procedures.
- AM Dispatch: Verify driver credentials, assign and monitor routes, and coordinate rescue plans.
- PM Dispatch: Create Vendor routes, monitor quality metrics, and support route efficiencies.
- Coordinate route adjustments based on operational requirements.
- Prepare operational reports as required.
- Assist with pickups, delivery escalations, parcel investigations, and quality-related activities.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in dispatch, transportation, logistics, or operations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to quickly learn proprietary software.
- Experience with route planning and scheduling is an asset.
- Ability to make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Availability
Services may be required during AM or PM operations, including weekdays and weekends, based on operational requirements.
Pay: $28.85-$31.25 per hour
