City Pets Animal Clinic is looking to hire an associate Veterinarian to join our amazing team!
We are a recently renovated, fully modernized, privately owned and operated clinic in beautiful Victoria, B.C. The clinic originated 27 years ago in a wonderful, safe neighbourhood directly across from the Hillside mall with many restaurants and conveniences in walking distance.
Our new space was designed with employee comfort in mind. The facility boasts excellent air quality, lots of natural sunlight, state of the art diagnostic equipment and every table (exam, surgery, dental and treatment) is electric with adjustable heights. The front of the clinic is a bright and open reception area with plenty of space for prescription diets and other over the counter products and supplements. There are four fully stocked exam rooms each with a sink, MacBook laptops to record digital exam notes and Samsung smart screens to assist with client education. In the back we have a large, open prep room with in house laboratory equipment from Heska to ensure quick diagnostic turn around. Our high capacity ON2 oxygen generator means you never have to worry about running out of oxygen while our polycarbonate patient kennels and dog runs help to enhance patient comfort. Both our surgery and dental suites are well lit with natural light, overhead surgical lights, HEPA air filtration, a bear hugger, brand new anesthetic machines and monitoring systems. The dental suite is state of the art with digital x-ray and all the equipment you will need to make every dental comfortable and easy. We do hands free radiographs using our high quality image Cuattro digital x-ray machine. The hands free technique significantly reduces exposure risks and makes the process much easier for both us and our patients. The resulting images are immediately accessible for your review and the Cuattro is set up to seamlessly submit to a radiologist for interpretation. We are fully digital with our VetFM software which was designed to be used with MacOS and is user friendly and easy to learn.
Our team is a pleasure to work with and work together as a united group. We currently have 2 full time veterinarians and locums with regular shifts. We use fear free protocols with our patients and this is generally well received by our clients. Our ideal candidate has at least three years of practical experience in a small animal clinic, a friendly demeanour and a desire to build lasting relationships with our amazing clients and patients. Experience with or an interest in dentistry is an asset. We are hoping to hire either part or full time with some weekend availability but the schedule can be flexible for the right candidate.
We are offering a competitive salary based on experience, hours per week, as well as a competitive CE and compensation package.
Pay: $86,961.25-$180,425.71 per year
