Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Pawnbroker to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assess and appraise items brought in for pawn or sale, utilizing knowledge of market value and condition.
- Provide loans to customers based on item value, explaining terms clearly and ensuring understanding.
- Process transactions accurately, including issuing receipts, recording loan details, and handling payments.
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Offer exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, explaining policies, and fostering trust.
- Manage inventory of pawned items, ensuring proper storage and security measures are followed.
- Stay informed about current market trends to accurately evaluate item worth.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies during all transactions.
Experience
- Prior experience in financial services or retail is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Basic math skills are essential for calculating loan amounts and servic rates accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
- Attention to detail and integrity are critical for maintaining accurate records and handling sensitive transactions.
- Familiarity with pawnshop operations or similar environments is a plus but not mandatory.
