Quantus Mortgage Solutions is one of the leading mortgage brokerages in Western Canada. We are looking for an experienced full time underwriter to assist with our busy team of mortgage brokers. The ideal candidate could be a current broker who enjoys working on files more than finding leads, or someone on the lender side looking for a broader spectrum to their role.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Working directly with a few select brokers on our team
- Interviewing clients for applications, or processing online applications
- Packaging files to be sent to our lender partners
- Dealing day to day with our amazing circle of lender partners
- Working with our clients on obtaining all documents needed for success
- Maintaining our CRM system throughout the transaction as well as post-funding
- Communicating with all parties in the process such as referral partners, appraisers, lenders, insurers and law firms.
About You
- Candidate will ideally be licensed as a mortgage broker, and if not be willing to to become licensed with the 1st year
- Must be incredibly motivated and able to multi-task
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and deadlines
- Experience reviewing typical documentation required in a mortgage application
- Ability to get along with a variety of different personalities
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
The Role
- Would prefer a Calgary based employee but will consider a candidate who would work from home anywhere in Canada
- Generally Mon-Fri, some flexibility with standard hours
- Expectation to handle urgent calls and emails outside normal business hours on occasion
- Competitive salary, plus bonus/commission structure based on volume and growth of the program
