Position: Phlebotomist with Infusion & IV Experience
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team in Brampton. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with blood collection, IV insertion, and infusion services, with a strong focus on patient safety, comfort, and quality care.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection accurately and safely.
- Initiate and maintain IV access according to applicable protocols and scope of practice.
- Assist with or administer IV infusions as permitted by qualifications and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare patients and equipment for blood collection and infusion procedures.
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to any adverse reactions or concerns.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Follow infection-control, safety, and privacy procedures.
- Properly label, handle, and transport specimens.
- Provide professional and compassionate patient care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Phlebotomist in a clinical or healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated IV insertion and infusion experience.
- Strong venipuncture skills with the ability to work with a variety of patients.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Current CPR/BLS certification is an asset.
- Relevant Canadian certification, registration, or licensing as required for the duties performed.
