Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations throughout shifts
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables promptly during busy hours
- Address guest inquiries or concerns professionally to ensure a positive experience
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred, with knowledge of the food industry standards
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for order entry and cashiering tasks
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests courteously and professionally
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation and cash handling
- Experience with food preparation, serving, and hospitality best practices is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and team members effectively
