Elevated Pizza is an established independent pizzeria in Chilliwack looking for a full-time Restaurant Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day operations.
We already have an experienced team, established systems, recipes, procedures and cleaning standards in place. We are looking for someone who can step in, lead by example and make sure those standards are consistently followed without requiring constant direction from ownership.
This is a hands-on position. You will work alongside the team during regular shifts while taking responsibility for the overall operation and condition of the restaurant.
What you'll be responsible for
- Leading and supervising the team during daily operations
- Holding staff accountable to established systems and standards
- Maintaining excellent cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant
- Ensuring opening, closing and cleaning procedures are completed properly
- Monitoring food preparation, dough procedures and product quality
- Keeping the team productive and organized during slower periods
- Managing staff scheduling and helping coordinate coverage when needed
- Monitoring labour and reducing unnecessary overtime or late closes
- Ensuring food safety procedures are consistently followed
- Identifying problems and solving them before ownership needs to get involved
- Training and developing employees
- Maintaining inventory and communicating ordering needs
- Creating a positive, professional and accountable workplace
Who we're looking for
You are someone who naturally notices when something isn't right and takes care of it.
You don't walk past a dirty counter, disorganized dining area or unfinished task assuming someone else will handle it. You take pride in running a clean, organized and efficient restaurant and are comfortable holding others to the same standard.
The right person will ideally have previous restaurant management or strong supervisory experience. Pizza experience is an asset but not required. Leadership, reliability, attention to detail and personal accountability are more important - we can teach you our food and systems.
