Prolific Group is seeking a dependable Press Helper to support our press operators with efficient set-up, material handling, and press-side tasks that keep production moving. If you’re safety-minded, hands-on, and take pride in accuracy and quality, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Stage, load, and prepare paper/stock for production runs; assist with feeder set-up and adjustments.
- Support make-ready by bringing plates, blankets, inks, and press-side supplies as required.
- Wash up and clean the press and surrounding area as directed; help with routine press-side maintenance tasks.
- Monitor materials and operating supplies (inks, cleaning solvents, rags, oil/grease, etc.) and communicate needs proactively.
- Remove, clean, and reinstall rollers and components with the operator; assist with plate changes as assigned.
- Label, wrap, and return unused stock to the designated staging area; minimize waste and protect materials from damage.
- Accurately record time/job information in the production tracking system, as required.
- Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE; maintain a clean, organized workspace (5S).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a print/pressroom, manufacturing, or material-handling environment (asset, not required).
- Comfortable with physical work, including lifting up to 23 kg on a continual basis.
- Good mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to take direction and work as part of a team.
Work Schedule
This full-time, permanent role requires flexibility to work both day and afternoon shifts in order to meet production needs.
Wage Range is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience (plus a $0.75/hour evening shift premium when working afternoon shift)
