Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable <PERSON> eavestroughing <PERSON> to join our construction team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining eavestrough systems on residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction-related trades, including carpentry, masonry, and the use of power tools, with a focus on precision and safety. This position offers opportunities to work on diverse projects, utilizing a variety of skills such as blueprint reading, heavy equipment operation, and restoration techniques.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain eavestrough systems on various building types
- Measure and cut materials accurately using hand tools and power tools
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure proper installation
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate installation processes
- Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure waterproofing and durability of eavestroughs
- Use welding, masonry, concrete forming, and flooring installation skills as needed for structural support or related tasks
- Operate heavy equipment safely during site preparation or material transportation
- Assist with renovation projects that may involve rebar installation, concrete finishing, or other construction trades
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on site
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction trades such as carpentry, masonry, concrete forming, or restoration
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics for precise installation work
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and work at heights when necessary
- Knowledge of caulking, welding, flooring installation, and concrete finishing techniques is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license preferred for transportation between job sites
