This senior leadership role provides direction to the comprehensive residence life and education program for all on-campus residences at Western. This role is dedicated to the provision of a supportive educational and social environment in a safe and secure setting which promotes and supports an intellectually stimulating residence environment contributing to the growth and development of over 5,800 residents in 12 residences. Emphasis is placed on leadership and community development, and the promotion of equitable approaches in all aspects of the position.
Reporting to the Director of Housing, the Associate Director utilizes grounded, contemporary pedagogy in residence education to develop, assess and manage a comprehensive curriculum that fosters academic success, leadership development, citizenship and involvement, health and wellness, personal growth, and inclusion, with learning outcomes aligned to meet the organizational goals and strategic objectives of Housing and the University.
