Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Production Worker to join our manufacturing team in a fast-paced food processing environment. This role involves supporting various stages of production, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety and sanitation protocols.
Duties
- Removing frozen meat from freezer and placing on defrost racks
- Inspecting raw meat and placing into buggies
- Weighing buggies and moving to staging areas
- Applying tags and buggy lids
- Lifting spice bags (approx. 50 lbs) and working in blender area (stairs involved)
- Operating flakers, bowl choppers, and grinders
- Working with cooked products (turkey, beef, pork, chicken)
- Fast-paced packaging line (placing product, inspecting, packing, palletizing)
- Repetitive work with job rotation on each line
- Remove condensation from ceilings, pipes, and overhead structures using a
Skills
- Experience with packaging operations
- Knowledge of the food industry, including food processing and sanitation standards
- Mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance or troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of food safety protocols and sanitation practices
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for measurements and counts
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality control procedures.
- Available to work weekends for overtime
