We are seeking a reliable On Call Automotive Glass Technician to join our team. This role involves providing in-shop glass repair and replacement services for a variety of vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, experience with automotive repair, and the ability to work independently under on-call circumstances. Responsibilities
- Perform automotive glass repairs and replacements efficiently and accurately
- Remove damaged or broken glass using hand tools and power tools
- Install new windshields, side, and rear glass in various vehicle makes and models
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Assist with inventory management of glass parts and tools as needed
Skills
- Prior experience or automotive is required
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems and repairs
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment
- Ability to lift heavy glass panels safely (heavy lifting required)
- Experience with automotive glass installation or repair
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Must have own tools
This position requires flexibility, technical skill, and a commitment to quality workmanship. Candidates should be prepared for on-call responsibilities that may involve working outside regular hours to meet customer needs.
Pay: $40.00 per hour
