Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and assisting in pharmacy operations within a community setting.
Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications including compounded medications
- Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level
- Process medication orders and prescriptions
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies
- Help with administrative tasks such as answering phones and managing patient records
Requirements
- Previous experience or certification as a Pharmacy Assistant is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
