About R2 Gaming
R2 Gaming Inc. supports gaming operations across Canada, delivering installations, conversions, repairs, and technical support for regulated gaming environments — from arcade and amusement venues to charitable, commercial, and slot-based gaming floors. We operate in fast-paced, compliance-driven settings where accountability, technical skill, and clear communication are essential. As we expand, we're looking for a motivated Field Service Technician who is hands-on, technically capable, and comfortable working to the standards expected in a regulated industry.
The Role
As a Field Technician, you'll install, maintain, and troubleshoot a range of gaming equipment on-site — including electronic gaming machines, terminals, and related systems. You'll work alongside experienced technicians and report directly to the Field Technical Supervisor, supporting projects of every size while ensuring all work meets manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
This role suits someone who can work with minimal supervision, pick up manuals and service documentation quickly, apply logical troubleshooting in real-world environments, and conduct themselves professionally on regulated gaming sites.
What You'll Do
- Install, set up, and configure gaming machines, terminals, and related equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and conversions
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, network, and software-related issues
- Read and interpret manuals, wiring diagrams, and service documentation
- Ensure installations and service work meet regulatory and compliance standards
- Complete and submit accurate service records, reports, and required documentation
- Deliver excellent on-site service to operators, business partners, and clients
- Maintain professional, timely communication with internal teams and external partners
- Manage tools, parts inventory, and job-site organization
- Support senior technicians during larger deployments
- Travel across Ontario and occasionally across Canada for projects
What We're Looking For
- Technical background preferred — electrical, electronics, mechanical, IT hardware, or a related field
- 1–2 years of hands-on technical or field-service experience is an asset
- Ability to quickly understand manuals and technical documentation
- A strong, logical troubleshooting mindset
- Comfortable working independently with limited supervision
- Strong communication and professional customer-service skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain any gaming registration or licensing required by provincial regulators (e.g., AGCO), including passing a background check
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
Career Growth & Advancement
This is a role you can grow into something bigger. We promote from within and reward performance, reliability, and leadership potential. As the company expands, Field Technicians have the opportunity to:
- Advance into a Senior Technician or Lead Technician role
- Move into the Slot Division and other specialized gaming areas
- Develop new and specialized technical and regulatory skill sets
- Unlock higher earning potential
